Hani (Lee Chih-wei)

Hani, an aborigine from the Amis Tribe of Hualien, goes by the aboriginal name Hani. In 2000, he gathered together several music-loving aboriginal classmates from his university and created the campus’s sole aboriginal music band, Kasilaw (which means “preserved pork.”) The group gradually made a name for itself, based on their folksongs, their instrumental abilities, and their stage presence. In 2001, the band won honors in the first annual Aboriginal Awards. Among all of the aboriginal singers of the younger generation, Hani is easily the most capable of conveying the enthusiasm and optimism inherent in aboriginal culture.

O sinin say no Amisay mafanay a mi futing
kayoing say no Amisay mafanay a mickiw
O sinin say no Amisay mafanay mitalakal
kayoing say no Amisay mafanay a midongac
He~~~yan,Tenngac!Tenngac!
O kaolahan o mato'asay.
