台東南王的卑南族，擅長沙鈴、合音與手鼓，雙魚座的。在南王的時候，永龍可是當地民歌西餐廳的駐唱歌手，除了原住民歌謠以外，也熱愛搖滾歌曲，對於愛唱歌的性格什麼歌都難不倒他。北上求學，開始他居住離台東很遠的台北，家鄉與都市的落差，以及原住民與都會風之間的對比色，在他身上，很容易兩者並存，有很陽光的笑容。

陳永龍對自己部落文化與原住民語的熟悉和深厚的情感，將歌曲詮釋的動人演出，令現場的所有人隨著他的歌聲，飄回到他的故鄉，他的土地，他的思念。他說他的歌，只要是部落裡長大的小孩，一定是隨口就能哼出的旋律。每當旋律響起，村莊的婦女們會圍成圓圈，跳著編作好的簡單舞步，在夏天的阿姨家院子裡，一起舞蹈。其實我的歌就是，我家前面的院子，曬過稻縠的香味，那棵小我一歲的欖仁樹，還有村子裡婦女們開朗的笑聲…」。

Leo Chen
Leo Chen hails from the Puyuma Tribe's Nanwang Village in Taitung; his musical expertise is best expressed in the hand bells, the bongo drums and his back-up vocals. Leo's university years in Taipei, far away from his native Taitung have given him an style which is a perfect mixture of traditional aborigine and modern city youth. In comparison with other young musicians, Leo's rich understanding of his culture and mother language give him a unique ability to express himself musically. Audience members and fellow musicians are able to follow his voice all the way back to his homeland, to his roots, and indeed into his longing for his place of birth. Leo and his brother Hong-hao together sing the songs of the Puyuma and Amis tribes with voices that perfectly contrast and compliment one another.

2005.6.11＿看到了一波波的海浪

「美麗心民謠-想念」是一張「原創與世界民謠混搭風」的演唱合輯，有著許多耳熟能詳的歌曲，以及在原住民部落中流傳的令人印象深刻的動人民謠與創作歌曲。

在這張合輯中，首波推薦由陳永龍和陳宏豪所演唱的「牧童之歌」，它是從德國「悠德玲」牧羊民謠的曲調延伸而來，從簡而易懂的國語歌詞中，我們可以聞得到夕陽和青草地上，一種非常優美愉悅不停轉音的「yo le le I li」曲風。「悠德玲」牧羊民謠是以前在德國巴伐利亞高原上，牧童在放牧，到了傍晚時，媽媽要叫牧童回家吃飯，而媽媽在這個山頭叫喚另一邊山頭的孩子「yo le le I li」要孩子回家時呼喚的聲音。專輯中透過陳永龍和陳宏豪兩兄弟和諧的歌聲，將這首歌的情境詮釋得淋漓盡致。另外由陳永龍所單獨演唱的「山」(原名為「卑南山」)這首歌，是卑南族音樂之父-陸森寶先生非常著名的一首代表作品，它是在訴說卑南山是我們的聖山，它是族人力量的來源，精神的堡壘，整首歌曲具有卑南族特有悠遠溫柔的曲式，卻涵義深遠。

2006/4/19正式發行「美麗心民謠」專輯收錄 陳永龍演唱「搖擺那魯灣」、「大武山美麗的媽媽」。海洋藍調與南島心跳，陳永龍的歌聲，如年輕的鷹，翱翔於天際的奔逐之聲，在風與雲間，歌聲恣意穿梭。「美麗心民謠」這張專輯，始於每年由【野火樂集】所辦的 - 原浪潮音樂節，在每一場音樂會的分享中，創作或演唱的歌手，用歌聲帶領著人們遊走在山谷與潮汐之間，像一場旅行，跟著聲音的縱走，尋訪自己的風中奇緣。歡迎進入「美麗心民謠」專輯介紹。

「臺灣好~~ 臺灣好~~ 臺灣真是個復興島」只要是部落裡長大的小孩，一定隨口就能哼出這旋律，我就是這樣聽著長大的。每當這旋律響起，村莊的婦女們會圍成圓圈，跳著編作好的簡單舞步，在夏天的阿姨家院子裡，一起搖擺的景致到現在想起來，依舊深刻。我和朋友在某一個夏天台北的夜晚，唱起這首歌，也給這首歌一個可愛的名字《搖擺娜魯灣》。

不是巴西的Ipanema，也不是西班牙的Barcelona。我想念我家前面的院子，曬過稻縠的香味，那棵小我一歲的欖仁樹，還有村子裡婦女們開朗的笑聲！會讓我….想搖擺。------永龍

“Taiwan ho! ~~ Taiwan ho! ~~ Taiwan is an island revived!”
These are lyrics from the original version of this song. More than thirty years ago, people in the aboriginal villages rewrote this patriotic song with aboriginal lyrics and a rhythm suitable for dancing, and it became an instant hit. Anyone who grew up in an aboriginal village at that time knows how to hum this song; and every time this song was played, the women of the village would form a circle and dance a few simple steps in unison. To this day, the song continues to conjure up strong memories of summertime in the courtyard before my aunt's house in the village.
One summer evening in Taipei, years later, I sang this song again with my friends, and it occurred to me to give it a new name – Swing Naluwan.
I discovered that what I longed for was not Ipanema in Brazil, or Barcelona, Spain, but rather the little yard in front of our house in the old village, with the scent of drying grains lingering in the air, the tropical almond tree almost the same age as me, and the rich laughter of the women of our village. The memories alone are enough to make me want to swing to the rhythm of the music.
